Compaq Visual Fortran Education Donation Program (Greek announcement)

Compaq Computer Corporation donated (16 Aug 2001) software of $134.320 value to our University for teaching high quality Fortran 90/95 programming and the latest high-performance technologies. Compaq donated Visual Fortan to seventeen (17) Universities & Institutes of Technology worldwide. Οur University was selected after careful evaluation of the "Computer Programming" course curriculum of the Mechanical Engineering Dept. & Aeronautics.

Compaq Visual Fortran, Standard Edition, ver. 6.6, a Fortran 95 high performance optimizing compiler and the complete development environment will be issued free of charge to all students of Mechanical Engineering Dept. & Aeronautics that attend the "Computer Programming" course. Furthermore the software will be installed free of charge in all the personal computers of the Mechanical Engineering Dept. & Aeronautics Computer Center for teaching and computer programming exercising of students.
